The Southwest Florida Sports Awards presented by Babcock Ranch have announced the nominees for the 2024 All-Region Girls Weightlifting Team and Player of the Year awards. The event, which will take place on Thursday, June 6 at Florida SouthWestern State College’s Suncoast Arena, will recognize All-Region athletes in 30 state-sanctioned sports and reveal the finalists and winners of the Southwest Florida Player of the Year awards in each sport.
The nominees for the 2024 All-Region Girls Weightlifting Team include Cloelle Altaratz of Barron Collier, Aleah Baron of LaBelle, Roma Braun of Fort Myers, Shanetta Brown of Gateway, Peyton Burnside of Fort Myers, Maya Egalite of Fort Myers, Natalia Franco of Fort Myers, Imani Greaves of LaBelle, Jill Jacobs of Fort Myers, Kasey Johnson of ECS, Emma Palmer of ECS and Kendall Sullivan of Bishop Verot.
These athletes have been nominated based on their outstanding performance throughout the season and will be honored during the live show on June 6th. In addition to recognizing top teams, coaches and athletes; a Courage Award winner will also be presented. Families can purchase additional tickets for guests and fans to attend this exciting event.
