South Carolina emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle against Indiana with a score of 79-75, securing a spot in the Albany 1 Regional Final of the women’s NCAA Tournament. The Gamecocks, coached by Dawn Staley, are now just three wins away from achieving a perfect season, a feat only accomplished nine times in the history of NCAA Division I women’s basketball.

Led by Kamilla Cardoso’s 22 points, South Carolina dominated the game, building a 22-point lead before Indiana launched a spirited comeback highlighted by Sydney Parrish’s 21 points. Despite Indiana’s efforts to stage a historic comeback, South Carolina managed to hold on to the lead and secure the victory.

With their eyes set on the next challenge, the Gamecocks will face third-seeded Oregon State in the upcoming match. In their previous meeting three years ago, South Carolina emerged victorious against Oregon State with a score of 59-42 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
