The future of Reading FC Women is uncertain, as the club’s financial troubles persist, with reports suggesting that the team’s existence is in doubt. In response to this, a Reading FC fan group called Sell Before We Dai has launched a protest campaign to draw attention to the situation.

The group has announced a billboard campaign in Reading town center to highlight the challenges facing Reading FC Women. They are calling on Dai Yongge and Dai Xiuli, the owners of the club, to sell it immediately and accept a viable offer from interested buyers.

Reading FC announced in June that they were in talks with potential buyers after a period of exclusivity with an unnamed party ended. Preseason is quickly approaching, and Sell Before We Dai is urging any interested buyers to step up their interest and expedite the sale to prevent further damage to the club.

The group emphasized the importance of any new owners committing to the long-term success of the club, including supporting the Women’s team. They also called on the FA to work with the club to find a solution to the current crisis.

With fixtures for the Women’s Championship yet to be announced, the men’s team will kick off their season against Birmingham City on August 10th. Sell Before We Dai’s billboard campaign is set to go live on Wednesday at 5 pm, and they are encouraging supporters to raise awareness online about the club’s situation.
