In the years following his tragic death in a car accident at the age of 34, Ayrton Senna’s memory lives on through the work of his niece, Paula Senna Lalli. Using old family photographs, Lalli created a lifelike sculpture of her uncle that she hopes will keep his legacy alive for generations to come.

Senna was known for his incredible talent on the racetrack, but he was also known for his humanitarian work. He donated millions to various charities throughout his life, including funding a hospital in Sao Paulo that bears his name. Despite the challenges he faced as a mechanic and engineer, Senna’s passion for racing ultimately led him to be remembered as one of the greatest sports figures of all time.

On the day of his funeral, an estimated three million people gathered to pay their respects to Senna. His final resting place in Sao Paulo is visited by even more fans than the gravesites of other famous figures like JFK, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe combined. The intricate details of Senna’s sculpture make it clear just how much he meant to those who knew him and continue to inspire new generations with his story.
