The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has announced the promotion of Dr. James Kim to the position of Senior Vice President of Science & Regulatory Affairs. At the same time, the organization welcomed Jessica Eason as the Manager of Environmental & Scientific Affairs.

Dr. James Kim, who has been with ACI since 2018, previously served as Vice President of Science & Regulatory Affairs and has extensive experience in toxicology and risk assessment. His expertise has greatly enhanced ACI’s capabilities as a leading voice in the industry.

Jessica Eason joins ACI from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where she provided technical oversight and instruction for testimonies, legislative analysis, and congressional correspondence. Additionally, she facilitated relationships and legislative engagement between NOAA, congress, indigenous communities, and intergovernmental stakeholders.

Eason will be responsible for overseeing scientific research and outreach related to the environmental safety of cleaning products and their ingredients at ACI. She will also manage research initiatives focused on chemical databases, environmental modeling, sustainability, and science education.
