The University of Alaska Fairbanks is thrilled to bring back one of its most popular science events after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19. The UAF Science Potpourri will be held on April 13 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Reichardt Building. Lea Gardine, the public information officer with the UAF College of Natural Science and Mathematics, emphasized the importance of fostering children’s curiosity and providing them with opportunities to witness science firsthand.
Attendees at the Science Potpourri will have the chance to participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including making liquid nitrogen ice cream, experiencing explosions, and observing an infrasound demonstration.
