The annual Science on State Street festival is a community event hosted by Framingham State University at the Christa McAuliffe Center in collaboration with the MetroWest STEM Education Network. This year, the event focuses on themes related to planet Earth, showcasing how science, technology, engineering, and math support environmental justice, renewable energy, and sustainability efforts.

Science on State Street is a free event open to all ages that will take place on Saturday, April 27 from Noon to 3 p.m. at the McAuliffe Center and O’Connor Hall parking lot. Attendees can explore various exhibits and activities that highlight the intersection of science and environmental issues.

Exhibitors at this year’s event include MIT Lincoln Labs offering an interactive table on building a lightsaber, Boston Scientific with an exhibition on human biology and anatomy, MathWorks demonstrating the power of AI, and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center providing information on STEM professionals’ contributions to soldier protection. There will be additional booths and activities for visitors to enjoy.
