Roderick Strong, who emerged victorious over Lio Rush on Collision, approached Tony Khan backstage and made a bold request for a shot at the AEW World Championship. Swerve Strickland currently holds the title, and Strong wants to be the one defending it at Forbidden Door on June 30. Khan agreed to the title match for Wednesday’s Dynamite in Loveland, Colorado.

Strong’s request comes after he defeated Ospreay at Double or Nothing last weekend to win the International title for the first time. Ospreay then won a Casino Gauntlet match on Dynamite, earning him the right to face the AEW World Champion at Forbidden Door. However, Ospreay has not yet been announced as an opponent for Swerve Strickland.

Kris Statlander also announced on Collision that she would be in action “next week,” but did not specify which show she would be wrestling on. The full card for Wednesday’s Dynamite in Loveland includes MJF’s return to Dynamite and a match between Saraya and Mariah May.
