Across Europe, right-wing parties are dominating the polls for the upcoming EU elections. In France and Austria, they are leading with significant margins. In Italy, Fratelli d’Italia is currently ahead of the Social Democrats by 6 percentage points, with Giorgia Meloni, their leader, aiming to form a majority of right-wing forces in Europe.

In Latvia, The National Alliance is leading with 18 percent and has different views on Russia compared to other right-wing parties. While supporting NATO, they also want to make Latvian language compulsory in schools for the Russian minority.

In Hungary, Fidesz is predicted to win the parliamentary election with 55.5 percent but is polling below 50 percent for the EU election. The party supports the unification of Romania with Moldova and shows hostility towards Hungarian minority in Romania. In Poland, PiS party is currently polling at 30 percent as part of the “United Right” alliance and has a major influence in ECR group. AfD in Germany is currently polling at 16 percent and is the second-strongest party in EU Parliament but their influence may be limited due to their removal from ID group.

Overall, right-wing factions in EU Parliament are projected to have a significant presence with 143 seats out of 720 which represents less than twenty percent of total seats indicating a strong showing for right-wing parties across Europe in upcoming elections.
