The Academy of Scientific Research and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have selected 9 innovative startup companies to participate in Egypt’s first specialized sports technology incubator. From a pool of 87 applicants, 20 technological ideas advanced to the pre-incubation stage.

Launched in January 2024, this incubator aims to provide funding and support to startups in the sports technology sector. In partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Nile University, it offers up to five million Egyptian pounds to help these companies grow and succeed. The incubator is designed to nurture and develop groundbreaking ideas in sports technology.

The pre-incubation training camp took place at the incubator’s headquarters in Nasr City Youth Center. As part of the Innovative Individual Business Incubators program by the Innovation and Invention Development Agency at the Academy, this is a new addition to the array of technological incubators. It marks a significant step forward in empowering entrepreneurs in sports technology with social and investment impact.

The goal of this Sports Technology Incubator is to revolutionize the industry in Egypt and make a lasting impact on the economy. By providing funding, support, and resources to these startups, it hopes to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in this rapidly growing field.
