The collaboration between Posco Group and the Korea Heritage Service has led to the restoration of South Korean cultural heritage sites using innovative steel technology. The project, known as PosART, utilizes an advanced steel sheet called PosMAC, which offers vivid colors, delicate textures, and four times the resolution of traditional steel sheets.

One of the outcomes of this collaboration was the unveiling of an art fence made from PosART at the Seonwonjeon area of Deoksugung by the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center. This departure from conventional plastic panels not only looks appealing but also promises durability. The fence designs were inspired by the historical flora of the site and were created by photographer Lee Myoung-ho.

Posco plans to continue using PosART technology in the restoration of cultural sites such as Gyeongbokgung. Additionally, the company has expanded its use of PosART in other public infrastructure projects. For example, in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, comprehensive guideboards made with PosART were installed along Seoul Trail 2.0, enhancing visibility and durability at key points along the trail.
