The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) has announced the opening of registration for the 2024 Media Technology Summit, which will take place from October 21-24 at the Ovation Hollywood in Hollywood, California. This year’s summit promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a focus on key filmmakers and the role that technology and SMPTE play in their creative processes.
Early bird pricing is available from June 10 to July 31 for those interested in attending. According to Marc Zorn, SMPTE Hollywood chair and conference co-chair, the summit has a long history of setting standards and bringing together technologists, professionals, creatives, and executives to exchange ideas and drive innovation in the media and entertainment industry.
Attendees can expect a variety of sessions, presentations, and panels on industry issues, as well as access to the Solutions Hub and new features like Tech Trek, an interactive exhibit tour showcasing the latest technologies discussed during the sessions. The conference will also offer off-site experiences on October 24.
