Marquez Valdes-Scantling, a free agent for the 2024 season, is looking for a new team to continue his NFL career. Despite having successful four seasons with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback, he has recently expressed interest in reuniting with him. During a recent interview with Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio, Valdes-Scantling spoke highly of Rodgers as a caring teammate who values his relationships with those around him.
He expressed gratitude towards Rodgers for being a great teammate and an MVP quarterback. Valdes-Scantling also emphasized the valuable life lessons that Rodgers had imparted to him both on and off the field, highlighting his advocacy for mental health and personal growth. Although he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs after the 2023 season, Valdes-Scantling remains appreciative of Rodgers’ mentorship and friendship.
Following his release from the Chiefs, Valdes-Scantling had a modest statistical output in the 2023 season, with 21 receptions for 315 yards and a touchdown. However, he remains optimistic about finding a new opportunity and is grateful for the impact Rodgers has had on his development as a player and as a person.
