Adam Roth has been appointed as the executive vice president of global partnerships & business development at the Recording Academy. In this new role, Roth will focus on developing intellectual property and enhancing existing IP to generate new global revenue opportunities. He will also work on creating programs for sponsors of the Grammy Awards season and be responsible for strategic planning and sales strategy to drive new business and revenue opportunities.

Roth previously held the position of senior vice president of partnerships & business development at the Academy, where he negotiated and created integrated partnership programs with well-known brands as well as local sponsors. The promotion of Roth showcases the Academy’s commitment to expanding its global reach, taking a more global approach after being founded in 1957 as the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.

The Academy’s top executives, Harvey Mason Jr. and Panos A. Panay, have Grammy Global Ventures as part of their official titles, highlighting the Academy’s global ambitions. Harvey Mason Jr. expressed his excitement about Roth’s promotion, expressing his confidence in Roth’s ability to drive business development for the Academy’s global expansion efforts. Prior to joining the Academy in 2019, Roth worked as the vice president of strategic partnerships for the Council of Fashion Designers of America and spent several years at Condé Nast developing custom programs for luxury advertising partners.
