In England, a man from Nuneaton, Warwickshire was recently arrested for carrying a replica of Link’s Master Sword from the video game “The Legend of Zelda” in public with a real blade. Anthony Bray, the man involved in the case, was sentenced to four months in prison and fined £154 (approximately €180).

On June 8th, Warwickshire Police officers spotted Bray walking down the street with the Master Sword in plain sight. Despite his claim that he had purchased it as a stress reliever to keep his hands busy, carrying a blade in public is illegal under UK law. The Warwickshire Police Sergeant stated that Bray could have avoided contact with law enforcement if he had chosen to use stress toys that were not six-inch blades or kept them out of sight while walking down the street.

The incident serves as a reminder for everyone to be mindful of local laws and regulations when carrying objects in public spaces.
