In 2023, the Israeli defense company Rafael reported record-breaking sales of 14 billion shekels, a 21% increase from the previous year. This was due in part to the significant portion of their order portfolio, totaling 52 billion shekels, which came from foreign customers. Specifically, 57% of their orders originated from international sources and 43% from the Israeli Ministry of Defense. Additionally, Rafael saw a net profit of NIS 588 million in 2023, marking a 17% increase from the year before.

Rafael’s largest deal of the year was the sale of the David’s Sling missile defense system to Finland for 1.3 billion shekels. The company has been making significant advancements in its Shield of Light laser missile defense system and introduced the world’s first interceptor missile for supersonic missiles, Sky Sonic.
