The Mobile County Animal Shelter, Pet Supplies Plus, Glamour Paws Grooming, and the Prichard Animal Shelter are all hosting drive-through clinics in April where pet owners can bring their animals to receive a rabies vaccine. The cost of the one-year vaccine at these clinics is $12, payable in cash. The Mobile County Health Department is offering low-cost rabies shots as part of an effort to protect animals against the deadly disease.
In 2023, the program vaccinated 2,004 household pets and this year it continues to ensure that animals in the county are protected.
