As Russia continues to invade Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took to the airwaves to address his nation. In his nightly speech, he praised Ukraine as the “best country in the world” and encouraged citizens to remain strong in the face of adversity. Despite Moscow’s efforts to destroy Ukraine, Zelensky acknowledged that another week had passed. He condemned Russia for using propaganda to shift responsibility onto Ukraine and called such actions cowardly.

Zelensky also highlighted Russia’s alleged war crimes in Ukraine, including the unlawful deportation of children and the targeting of power plants by high-ranking Russian military personnel. The President’s address came a day after Germany announced it would provide Ukraine with another Patriot air-defense system. He also mentioned ongoing cooperation with Germany on additional air defense systems and missiles for existing systems. The Foreign Ministry called on other partners to follow Germany’s lead in supporting Ukraine.

Amidst the chaos of Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine, individuals like Valeriy Kucherenko, who has adapted to life with bionic arms after being named a ‘Hero of Ukraine,’ are considered heroes in the country. Their bravery and resilience serve as a testament to the strength of the Ukrainian people, who continue to fight for their nation despite overwhelming odds.
