Pima Community College’s Aviation Technology Program is hosting a career fair and open house for individuals interested in entering the aviation industry. The hiring fair will take place on Tuesday, March 26th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Aviation Technology Center near Valencia Rd. and Park Ave.

According to faculty instructor Chris Barnett, there is a high demand for skilled workers in the aviation industry. Many employees retired before and during COVID, creating a significant gap in the workforce. Barnett believes that this demand will continue for some time, making it an ideal time for individuals to explore career opportunities in aviation technology.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interview with local and national aviation employers, interact with Pima’s instructors and students, and tour the hangar. This is a great chance for individuals to learn more about the various roles available in the aviation industry, from pilot training to maintenance and repair.
