Veteran kicker Joey Slye has agreed to terms on a deal with the Patriots after being released by the Jaguars earlier this week. The Jaguars had drafted Cam Little in the sixth round, leading to Slye’s release. Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reported that Slye has joined the New England roster, which already has 2023 fourth-round pick Chad Ryland on board.

Ryland had a solid rookie season, going 16-of-25 on field goals and 24-of-25 on extra points. Slye, who previously played for the Commanders and has also kicked for the 49ers, Texans, and Panthers, brings a wealth of experience to the team. Throughout his career, he has made 121-of-147 field goals and 138-of-156 extra points. With his addition to the roster, the Patriots are sure to have a strong kicking game heading into next season.
