Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced that he will come out of retirement to play for his country in the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. This decision comes four months after he ended his international career. The 35-year-old player had a successful run with Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, where he was a key player in their title win. He took five wickets and made an undefeated 19 runs during the tournament.

In a social media post, Imad expressed his happiness at reconsidering his retirement and declared his availability for Pakistan cricket leading up to the T20 World Cup. He thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board for trusting him and giving him this opportunity.

Despite being left out of the squad for the 50-over World Cup last year, Wasim had a change of heart and decided to return to international cricket for the T20 format. Pakistan is scheduled to play a series of T20 matches against New Zealand, Ireland, and England before the World Cup matches in the United States and West Indies. Their first match is against India on June 9, followed by games against Canada and Ireland in the group stage of the tournament.

Imad’s mixed international career has been marked by questions about his fitness and attitude by selectors in the past. However, it seems that he has turned over a new leaf and is determined to make amends for any missteps he may have made earlier.

The announcement of Imad’s return to cricket will no doubt be met with excitement by fans who have missed watching him play on the international stage. His successes in domestic cricket bode well for his comeback, but only time will tell whether he can maintain his form under pressure at an international level.

Overall, it is great news for Pakistan cricket that one of their all-time great players has decided to come out of retirement just before one of their biggest tournaments. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see how Imad performs on the field once again.
