Logan St. John Kletter, a senior at Mt. Lebanon High School, had an impressive year in cross country. Despite dealing with a hip injury early in the season, she went on to win the WPIAL championship and PIAA title.

On October 26th, St. John Kletter won the WPIAL championship at White Oak Park with a time of 17:47.40, finishing more than six seconds ahead of the runner-up. Her performance helped her team, Mt. Lebanon, finish as runner-up in the Class 3A team standings. On November 4th, she won the PIAA Championships with a time of 18:13, securing her first state crown.

Following her state title win, St. John Kletter continued to impress at the regional and national level by finishing fourth at the Northeast Regional and qualifying for the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships held in San Diego. At the national championships, she finished 34th overall.

St. John Kletter’s accomplishments in cross country did not go unnoticed as she was awarded the Gatorade Pennsylvania Girls Cross Country Player of the Year on December 5th in Hershey, PA. This prestigious award recognizes high school athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom and community service projects which align with her values of helping others while keeping herself humble and grounded despite all this success . She is an honors student with a 4.9 GPA making her stand out from other peers . Coach Oscar Shutt praised her ability to learn from disappointments and use them as motivation to achieve her goals which is reflected by her determination throughout this season .
