Anna Paquin recently attended the red carpet premiere of her latest film, “A Bit of Light,” directed by her husband Stephen Moyer. Despite facing mobility issues caused by an undisclosed health problem she has been dealing with for the past two years, Paquin used a cane at the event. She revealed to People that it has been a challenging time for her, especially needing the cane to walk and experiencing difficulties with her speech.

Paquin’s new film portrays a struggling mother who moves in with her father after losing custody of her children. The movie also features Ray Winstone, Youssef Kerkour, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Luca Hogan.

During an interview, Paquin expressed her love for independent filmmaking and credited Moyer as her favorite acting partner due to his strong directorial skills. “I value telling stories with integrity and truth,” she said. “That’s where I started in the industry.”

“A Bit of Light” is set to hit theaters on April 5th through Quiver.
