Bartlesville High’s track and field team had an outstanding performance at Regionals over the weekend, earning 12 qualifications for State. The usual suspects from BHS, including jumpers and long-distance runners, have been excelling all spring and will be vying for championships at the State level.

David Ayres, head coach of Bartlesville High, highlighted some of the relay teams that will be representing the school at the upcoming State competition. One athlete to keep an eye on is Gentry Turner, who has been a strong contender in the two-mile event all season. In addition to her impressive performance in this event, Turner has also run a sub-five-minute mile this season, making her a standout competitor for BHS.

Alongside Turner, Ayres mentioned several other Bartlesville qualifiers who have the potential to make their mark at the State meet. With 6A State set to take place in Oklahoma City on Friday and Saturday, all eyes will be on Bartlesville High’s talented track and field team as they compete for top honors in their respective events.
