In Martinsville, Virginia, an arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that took place at Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill. The individual arrested is 24-year-old Rosario Nasiar Eggleston, a resident of Martinsville. Eggleston faces multiple charges including malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon.

On May 17 at around 11:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the sports bar. A 20-year-old Martinsville resident was found at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was taken to SOVAH Health Martinsville for treatment. During the investigation, officers collected evidence, interviewed witnesses, and reviewed surveillance videos which led to the identification of two suspects, one of them being Rosario Eggleston.

The second suspect, 24-year-old Jalen Davon Pritchett, remains at large and is wanted on similar charges. The Martinsville Police Department is urging anyone with information about Pritchett’s whereabouts to contact them or Sergeant Harley Durham. The case is still under investigation, and tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers line for a potential reward leading to an arrest and conviction.
