Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi (TPAO) has awarded Odfjell Technology a two-year contract for the provision of 10 whipstock systems and related services. The contract will serve TPAO’s onshore activity primarily located in the eastern and south-eastern regions of Türkiye, with an option to extend for a further two years. Odfjell Technology will supply whipstock and anchor systems for both open and cased hole requirements.

The whipstock systems will be delivered to TPAO stock, and related service tools will be mobilised from Odfjell Technology’s Romania facilities when required. This partnership between the two companies highlights Odfjell Technology’s track record of delivering localized expertise and services to the wider region, emphasizing their commitment to providing agile, dynamic, and extensive services across their global well intervention services.

“Having worked with TPAO for several years already, this is a significant contract which underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality services to our partners,” said Alex Gomoescu, VP Continental Europe at Odfjell Technology. “We are proud of our long-standing relationship with TPAO and look forward to continuing to support their operations in Turkey.”

Mehmet Ugur Anadut, Material Planning Manager at TPAO, shared his thoughts on the partnership: “We have been working with Odfjell Technology in recent years on spot requirements where we have an immediate need, and always received high-quality services. Having a reliable partner for such an ad-hoc requirement for the next two years will be instrumental in supporting operations planning.”
