OBM Construction, a thriving wooden frame construction company based in Chevilly, has recently acquired a struggling competitor in Normandy. This acquisition of Poulingue, located in Eure, will result in a reduction of its workforce from 180 to 109 employees. However, the company remains optimistic about revitalizing its operations through synergies with OBM Construction.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary last year, OBM Construction focuses on school equipment projects and works closely with communities investing in this sector. The company also benefits from the growing popularity of wooden construction due to its limited carbon impact. With a strong order book for the next two years, the company is in a favorable position under the leadership of General Manager Tristan Lheure.

Managing its projects as a general contractor from start to finish, OBM Construction produces wooden frame walls and metal frames in its Chevilly workshops. The acquisition of Poulingue will allow the company to diversify its market presence, particularly in the field of rehabilitation projects. By doubling in size through this acquisition, OBM Construction solidifies its position as a major independent player in the wood construction sector, with plans to increase its turnover significantly in the coming years.
