The North Dakota Women’s Business Center has been recognized with the 2024 Women Business Center of Excellence Award for Region 8. This accolade highlights the outstanding work being done at the center to support women entrepreneurs and business owners in the state.

Meanwhile, the North Dakota Department of Commerce recently announced the recipients of $4,288,345 in grants through the Regional Workforce Impact Program’s Round 2. These funds will help regional workforce entities in North Dakota address their most pressing workforce challenges by supporting innovative solutions. Thirteen organizations have been chosen to receive funding to design and implement workforce plans tailored to their specific needs.

Among these recipients are several organizations that will use the grants to create new opportunities for growth and development in their communities. The Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC received $100,000 to create video testimonials and drone footage showcasing the area’s growth and lifestyle to attract new talent. Community Church Child Care was awarded $428,045 for Phase Two of their child care center project, which will add 50 full-time slots. And The Enrichment Garden received $500,000 to expand their child care facility in northwest Bismarck and add 30 child care slots.

In addition to these workforce impact grants, the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency has also awarded $200,000 through its Helping Housing Across North Dakota program. Community Action Program Region VII in Bismarck received $30,969, while Rebuilding Together Greater Bismarck/Mandan was granted $1,200 as part of the 2
