The San Francisco 49ers have extended a new two-year contract with receiver Jauan Jennings, who was tendered as a restricted free agent. The deal is worth up to $15.4 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed. This agreement comes after Jennings initially did not make the team’s active roster but spent the 2020 season on the practice squad before appearing in 16 games in 2021 and 2022 and 13 games in 2023.
Jennings was selected by the 49ers in the seventh round of the 2020 draft and has since accumulated an impressive resume of contributions on the field. Last season, he recorded 19 catches for 265 yards and one touchdown, followed by 10 receptions for 111 yards and another touchdown in the postseason, with four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII. In his career so far, Jennings has accumulated an impressive total of 78 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns.
This new contract extension solidifies Jennings’ place with the team for years to come as he continues to contribute to their success on the field.
