The Seattle Seahawks have made a significant move in free agency by signing guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million. According to reports, Tomlinson is expected to fill one of the open guard positions on the team. Throughout his career, he has primarily played at left guard, with 99 percent of his snaps coming from that position. Despite playing for nine seasons, he has only missed one game.

Prior to his time with the Seahawks, Tomlinson spent five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after being drafted by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The Lions later traded him to the 49ers before the 2017 season.

Despite not earning a Pro Bowl selection yet, Tomlinson has been a consistent presence on the field throughout his career. His experience and talent make him an excellent addition to the Seahawks as they look to strengthen their offensive line for the upcoming season.

Tomlinson’s recent release by the New York Jets was due to one year remaining on a three-year, $40 million deal. However, he is now poised to be a valuable asset for Seattle as they continue their quest for success in football.

The Seahawks are always looking for ways to improve their team’s performance, and adding a talented player like Tomlinson will undoubtedly help them achieve that goal. With his experience and talent on board, it will be interesting to see how he fits into Seattle’s offensive line and how much impact he can have on their upcoming season.
