Salford City has announced the release of several players from their squad, including Adrian Mariappa, Stevie Mallan, Connor McLennan, on-loan West Bromwich Albion defender Ethan Ingram, and Declan John to Bolton Wanderers. Additionally, Academy graduate Djavan Pedro is leaving the club after going on loan to help Warrington Rylands in the Northern Premier League play-offs this season.

Adrian Mariappa is a former defender who has played for Watford, Reading, and Crystal Palace in the top flight. He joined Salford City from Burton Albion in March 2022 and was released by the club after finishing in 20th place in League Two this season. Stevie Mallan is another player who was let go by Salford after joining from St Mirren, Barnsley, and Hibernian on a two-year deal before playing for Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor. Winger Connor McLennan also left Salford after joining from Aberdeen.

Karl Robinson took over as manager of Salford City in early January following the departure of Neil Wood after Christmas. He became the sixth full-time manager appointed by the Class of 92 owners of Salford City since the departure of Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson in 2018.
