Jason Czarny, a West Genesee graduate with a strong background in athletics, has been appointed as the Executive Director of Section III athletics. He will be replacing Timothy Ryan, who served as the interim executive director after Todd Mulvaney’s departure. Czarny previously served as the assistant executive director since August and expressed his excitement for his new role, emphasizing the importance of interscholastic sports in creating long-lasting memories.

Czarny has a proven track record of leadership and enthusiasm, having previously served as the president of the Onondaga High School League and participated in various league committees. His appointment has been commended by Section III president Mike Clonan and East Syracuse Minoa athletic director, who is confident in his ability to lead the organization into the future.

As Czarny prepares for his official start date in early June, OCM BOCES is also in the process of interviewing candidates for the position of assistant director, as they continue to strengthen their leadership team within Section III athletics.
