In 2020, Italian designer Enzo Manca met with a sheikh from the Arab Emirates, which sparked the idea of creating a special yacht for the country. This led to the development of the UAE One, a mega yacht with nine decks that can accommodate three helicopters and a submarine. The boat measures 140 meters in length, 40 meters in height, and 28 meters in width and features 35 cabins for approximately 65 crew members, 14 mini apartments, three meeting rooms, and a press room.
The UAE One is designed with extravagance, innovation, and sustainable practices in mind. Advanced navigation systems and stabilization technology ensure smooth and safe journeys for all passengers on board. To address the issue of propulsion, the yacht incorporates renewable energy sources and a wastewater treatment plant for responsible waste disposal.
The boat is designed for maximum privacy, with features like a circular sofa on the bow and a small internal port for discreet boarding and departure of guests, maintaining privacy for everyone on board. The completion of interior works and the design of common areas for the sheikhs are still pending, highlighting Manca’s attention to detail and craftsmanship in creating vessels that serve as a nation’s heritage.
