The Santa Maria Indians Outlaws baseball organization is sponsoring a fall ball season for all high school players. Players are invited to bring a team or be placed on a squad, and a $25 player deposit is required. Assessments will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during an open practice at Elks Field in Santa Maria. Games will be played every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through October. For more information, contact Jimmy Melena at 805-714-6018.

In addition to the fall ball season, the Santa Maria Indians Outlaws baseball organization has returned to Santa Maria after several years in Templeton as the North County Indians. The team will play its home games at Elks Field and participates in the Collegiate League. They will play the San Luis Obispo Blues in a league game at Sinsheimer Field in San Luis Obispo on Friday, followed by a Collegiate League doubleheader against the East Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday at Elks Field. The first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. with the second game at 4 p.m
