Eric Coleman has recently been appointed as the new President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance. In his new role, he will report directly to CEO Raul Vargas and be responsible for leading commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and exploring new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.

Coleman brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new position. Prior to joining Farmers, he spent over a decade at Nationwide, where he served as Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this role, he managed a national product portfolio and oversaw regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales. Coleman also held various senior leadership positions at Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance.

Vargas commends Coleman’s leadership skills and is excited about his appointment. “Eric is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of driving organizational growth and reshaping go-to-market strategies,” he said. “He brings deep expertise to the team and will be a valuable asset as we work to strengthen and leverage business insurance opportunities.” With Coleman at the helm, Farmers Insurance looks forward to continued success in the business insurance market.
