Tucker Perkins, president and CEO of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), has recently appointed David Walters as the new director of autogas business development. In his new role, Walters will be responsible for driving strategic market plans to increase the adoption of propane autogas and supporting the research and development of innovative products in the industry.

Excited about his new role at PERC, Walters is passionate about sustainability and eager to make a meaningful impact on the future of transportation. With over 25 years of experience in business development and sales leadership in the energy industry, including a focus on hydrogen and RNG, Walters is well-equipped for his new position. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and business from Cabrini University (Villanova) and is taking over from Steve Whaley, who recently transitioned to the role of alternative fuels manager at Blue Bird Corp.

Walters invites collaborators to connect with him to explore potential partnerships and opportunities to drive the adoption of cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions together. With his expertise in business development and sales leadership, he will work closely with PERC’s team to develop strategies that will increase the use of propane autogas as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels in transportation.
