Narrows Elementary/Middle School has a community of students who share a passion for STEM education. Under the guidance of their teacher, Jennifer Shrewsbury, they have been working hard to prepare for a national competition in Orlando, Florida. The Technology Student Association (TSA) provides them with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.

At the middle school level, there are 37 competitions that students can participate in through TSA. One of the students, Jon Cottle, spends his mornings working on robots and designing new creations. This year, 17 students from Narrows Elementary/Middle School placed at the state competition and earned themselves a spot at nationals in June.

The students are excited about the opportunity to compete at nationals and hope to bring home a win. They believe that their experience gained through TSA competitions will help them develop valuable skills that will benefit them in the future. Looking ahead, they aim to get more schools in their region involved in TSA so that other students can have similar opportunities.
