In the Hyundai Archery World Cup season opener in Shanghai, Mexico’s Andrea Becerra scored an incredible 713 points in the 50-meter qualifying round. This remarkable result not only secured her a top seed position but also marked a significant achievement since her international debut in 2018.

As a member of the Mexican team, Andrea expressed her pride in their high level of performance and their prospects in the World Cup Final. The event is scheduled to take place in Tlaxcala for the third consecutive year, where Andrea, also known as Maya by her teammates, is determined to secure the top spot once again. Despite consistently strong match results, she had never achieved a high qualifier status until now. Her personal best scores have hovered around 700 points over the years.

During the qualifying round in Shanghai, Andrea came close to breaking the world record, missing out only by a minor error in the third-to-last end. She noticed that some of her shots were just on the edge of the target, narrowly missing out on achieving the highest points possible. In a previous World Cup held two years ago in Tlaxcala as a host nation invitee, Andrea finished fourth. This time around, she is determined to earn her spot at the prestigious event through her exceptional archery skills and dedication to the sport.

In conclusion, Mexico’s Andre Becerra has set herself up for success at this season’s Hyundai Archery World Cup with her impressive performance in Shanghai’s 50-meter qualifying round. With her determination and skill set, she is poised to make history and cement herself as one of Mexico’s top archers on an international stage.
