Carnitas Don Raul, a popular carnitas business in San Antonio that was featured on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles, is set to move to a new location. The new spot will be just a short distance from its current food truck location on Broadway.

The company has shared renderings of the new location on Instagram and is working on the project with Maria Guiza Architecture Studio from Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. The new location is expected to open next Thursday at 325 West Jones Avenue.

While the Blanco Road location will be temporarily closed during the transition, the business is ensuring that the new taquería is perfected before reopening. The menu will remain the same, with the addition of desserts like flan and arroz con leche.

The new space will feature outdoor seating areas, an indoor area, and even a shared space with La Benita, where Mezcales from Michoacán, tequilas, and Mexican beers will be available. The music vibe throughout the day will range from boleros and Mexican pop in the morning to electro cumbias and Mexican house music in the afternoon.

Carnitas Don Raul plans to open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, and will be closed on Mondays. Keep an eye on their social media pages for updates on the grand opening.
