Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that its Max streaming service will be launching in Spain on May 21. This new platform combines content from HBO Max, Discovery channels, and Eurosport events. Unlike other countries, there will not be an option to subscribe with ads.

The merger of HBO Max and Discovery was announced in August 2022 and has already been available in the United States and Canada since May of the previous year. The new service brings together popular content from both platforms, as well as Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, DC Universe, Eurosport events, Discovery, and TLC.

Current HBO Max subscribers will automatically have access to this new platform. The service will also be available in other European countries on May 21, offering different plans including a Sports add-on. Prices will vary by country and will be announced in the coming weeks.

Max offers two subscription plans: The Standard Plan allows for viewing on two devices in Full HD resolution, with up to 30 offline downloads. The Premium Plan allows for viewing on four devices with Full HD or 4K resolution and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as up to 100 offline downloads. Unfortunately, the Basic plan with ads will not be available in Spain at the launch of Max.
