In Rusk County, a 37-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for breaking into five businesses in Madison. The Madison Police Department’s Burglary Crime Unit conducted investigations and linked the man to multiple break-ins that occurred between mid and late January.

The burglaries took place at various locations in Madison, including three businesses on Monroe Street, one on the 400 block of W. Gilman Street, and another on the 2400 block of University Avenue. One of the reported incidents involved a break-in at a business on Gilman Street where the front door was broken, and cash register trays were stolen.

The police have not disclosed the specific charges the man may face or the exact date of his arrest. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
