LSU has already secured a commitment from Bryce Underwood, the top quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle and the No. 1 overall player in the country. Now, the Tigers are aiming to repeat their success by pursuing Faizon Brandon, the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 cycle. Brandon, who hails from Greensboro, North Carolina, is ranked as a top-10 prospect and the No. 2 quarterback by On3 but is considered the top quarterback by both On3 and 247Sports, with the latter ranking him as the No. 1 overall player in the cycle.

With time still left before signing day, LSU is hopeful that they can secure a commitment from Brandon and add another top quarterback to their roster. The Tigers will continue to stay in contention after hosting him for three visits, even though Tennessee currently holds a lead in landing Brandon’s commitment.

Brandon recently visited Baton Rouge for the second time in three months and had discussions about his potential development process with Joe Sloan and the coaching staff. After another top recruit Dia Bell committed to Texas, Brady Hart also visited campus but ultimately chose Michigan over LSU. Currently on LSU’s quarterback board, Brandon has emerged as their top target following Dia Bell’s decision to commit to Texas A&M instead of LSU.
