The Tigers have made significant progress in strengthening their 2025 defensive line class with the addition of four-star defensive lineman Zion Williams and EDGE Damien Shanklin committing on Thursday and Friday, respectively. LSU is currently leading the way for both players, with recent predictions suggesting they will be a part of the Tigers’ roster next season.

However, coach Brian Kelly and his staff may not be done recruiting for defensive line talent just yet. In addition to Williams and Shanklin, LSU has been actively pursuing Brandon Brown, a highly-regarded four-star defensive line prospect from Melbourne, Florida. Despite his commitment to Texas in December, Brown has visited LSU and received multiple predictions from recruiting experts that he would flip his commitment to the Tigers.

With On3’s Billy Embody and Shea Dixon both providing predictions in favor of LSU, Brown is expected to make a final decision within the next two days after visiting other programs such as Tennessee, USC, and Oklahoma. If he decides to join the Tigers, Brown will undoubtedly add another valuable piece to LSU’s defensive line unit.
