L’Oréal Professionnel recognizes the significant role that hairdressers play in their clients’ lives, providing not just physical transformations but also emotional support. In response to this, the brand has launched the Head Up Campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month in May. The initiative offers free mental health training for all hair professionals, co-developed with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, to help them lead more fulfilling lives.

The Head Up Campaign includes a six-episode series featuring Daniel Mason Jones, focusing on self-care techniques and coping strategies to deal with life’s stresses and anxieties. In addition to this, L’Oréal Professionnel has partnered with Calm, a mental fitness and resilience app, offering three months of free access to help hair professionals address anxiety, depression, and burnout common in the industry.

By providing tools and resources for hair professionals to prioritize their mental health, L’Oréal Professionnel aims to create a supportive community where they can openly discuss their needs and work towards living happier and healthier lives. The collaboration with Calm and the Head Up Campaign underscores the brand’s commitment to caring for the well-being of hair professionals beyond just their physical appearance.
