The Kazakh-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee’s Subcommittee on Innovative Cooperation recently held its first meeting at the Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry. During the session, First Vice Minister Kanysh Tuleushin and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of China Chen Jiachang discussed potential collaboration opportunities in various sectors.

The subcommittee focused on cooperation opportunities in developing the 5G network, aerospace industry, and e-commerce. They also agreed to expand joint scientific and innovative projects related to space research, microsatellites, agriculture and natural disaster monitoring through remote sensing, digitalization of the agricultural sector, and seismic monitoring.

In addition to these areas of cooperation, the subcommittee members reached an agreement on providing training opportunities for young talent in the field of innovation. This includes short-term internships and joint scientific projects to nurture expertise in both countries. The co-chairs of the subcommittee committed to sharing information on the latest developments in scientific and technological innovations happening in China and Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, First Vice Minister Tuleushin emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in promoting innovation and technology development. He highlighted that Kazakhstan has great potential for growth in these areas and could benefit greatly from collaborating with China.

Deputy Minister Chen agreed with Tuleushin’s sentiments and expressed his excitement about the possibilities for collaboration between their two countries. He noted that China has been investing heavily in innovation lately and is eager to share its knowledge with other countries like Kazakhstan.

Overall, the inaugural meeting of the Subcommittee on Innovative Cooperation was a success. It brought together representatives from both countries to discuss potential areas of collaboration and pave the way for future partnerships between Kazakhstan
