The Jets have decided to keep coach Robert Saleh and General Manager Joe Douglas for the 2024 season, but they have made changes to their sports performance and sports science staff. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, director of high performance Brad DeWeese is no longer with the organization. Additionally, assistant director of high performance Robert Sausaman and director of sports science Matt Sams have also left the team after joining when Saleh became the coach in 2021.

To address the issue of injuries on the offensive line, the team has added older tackles Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses to improve their performance. The team’s website now lists Alexander Carnall as the sports science coordinator, but there have been no new additions on the performance side of things.

The departures were not based on performance issues, but Douglas did acknowledge that minimizing injuries and improving player performance are crucial for a successful 2024 season. Keeping these key personnel on board will be important for the team’s success in upcoming seasons.
