Jackie Chan, who has recently turned 70, has reassured his fans that he is in good health after concerns arose over his appearance in a photo with gray hair and a beard. In a post on Instagram, Chan addressed these fears by explaining that his look was a character appearance for his latest movie, not a reflection of his actual health. The character he portrays requires him to have white hair, a white beard, and an aged appearance.

Despite the worries about his health, Chan made it clear that he is doing well and that he loves making movies and his fans. In November, Chan was cast in a new Karate Kid movie where he will play Mr. Han, the kung fu master who helps Jaden Smith’s character fend off bullies in the movie’s 2010 remake. The Hong Kong actor has spent 62 years in the entertainment industry and expressed his gratitude for every moment he has cherished making movies.
