Jackie Chan recently celebrated his 70th birthday on April 7 and reassured fans about his health after photos of him looking older with grey hair circulated online. In an Instagram post, Chan explained that the pictures were from a character appearance for a new movie and not a reflection of his actual age.

Throughout his 62-year career in entertainment, Chan has always been willing to take on new challenges for his roles, whether it’s performing daring stunts or changing his appearance. Despite turning 70, Chan remains passionate about making movies and expressed gratitude for all the birthday wishes he received from fans.

In recent years, Chan has taken on several roles that required him to change his appearance. He voiced Splinter in the animated film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and is set to reprise his role as Mr. Han in the next “Karate Kid” movie. Directed by Jonathan Entwistle and co-starring original “Karate Kid” star Ralph Macchio, the new film is scheduled for release on Dec. 13, 2024.

Reflecting on his age, Chan quoted his colleague Sammo Hung, who once said, “Being able to grow old is a fortunate thing.” As a stunt performer, Chan appreciates the blessing of aging and the opportunity to continue working in the film industry. He concluded his message by thanking everyone for their support and well wishes, hoping that all his fans stay happy and healthy.
