Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted at an upcoming offensive against Rafá in the south, near the border with Egypt. Despite a reduction in troops to less than 5,000 in the enclave, there are still tensions in the region. The Israeli Army reported new fighting with Hamas in a corridor in the center of the Gaza Strip. This corridor, known as the Netzarim corridor, divides the enclave in two and is the only area where troops have been deployed during the offensive that began more than six months ago. The Nahal Brigade combat group has been operating in this area, eliminating terrorists and attacking military buildings and shuttles.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli Army bombed dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip, including military installations, shuttles, tunnels, and other terrorist infrastructure. The 98th Division recently withdrew from Khan Younis in the south for future operations, indicating a reduction in ground operations in that area. The Israeli Army has been engaged in a continuous offensive against Hamas since more than six months ago and there is no sign of peace on horizon yet.
