Instagram is taking a step forward in the digital age by introducing a new feature to enhance the way creators and users interact on the platform. A developer and insider, Alessandro Paluzzi, discovered signs of a feature in the works called “challenges” specifically for Instagram broadcast channels.

This feature is similar in dynamics to Telegram channels and will allow creators to launch photo contests for members, offering them prizes. According to a screenshot shared by Paluzzi, channel members will have the opportunity to interact with the photos submitted for the competition, share them in their stories, messages, and on other apps, as well as report them.

The introduction of “challenges” appears to be a direct response to the increasing need for creators and brands to generate authentic interaction and deeper engagement with their audiences. By introducing prizes, Instagram could further incentivize user participation and creativity, making these photo challenges not only a moment of sharing but also an opportunity to showcase talent and gain visibility.

While no details have been revealed yet on how prizes will be managed or on what criteria the participating photos will be evaluated, the competitive element introduced by this new feature promises to add another layer of interaction. This makes Instagram broadcast channels not only sharing spaces but true creative arenas where users can showcase their skills and gain recognition.
